Model

Definition

The model is a database definition. It provides to the MADCAT the structure of the data, the presentation requirements (input forms, display sheets, etc..) and interaction rules. Models are defined with XML files. One model defines one or several databases. Databases are made of :

A workspace can manage more than one model. Using links, models can share data without duplicate.

With the version 1.2.0, the MADCAT can also manage inheritance and polymorphism with models. Check the user manual for more information.
